Behind the Mix: The Story of Nightfly

Every great mix begins with a mood.  For me, that mood has always been nighttime.  The quiet energy, the city lights and the calm that settles after dark all inspired the creation of Nightfly Music Mix Podcast.  Based in Perth, Western Australia, the show was born from a simple goal, to create immersive, chill electronic mixes that people could enjoy anywhere in the world.

Since 2013, Nightfly has evolved from a local project into a globally streamed music podcast, connecting listeners across Australia, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.  Each episode is a journey through modern downtempo, chillout, and electronic grooves, mixed to match the rhythm of modern nights.

While the podcast has reached listeners around the world, Perth’s creative scene remains its heart.  The city’s unique blend of coastal calm and vibrant nightlife inspires the tone of each mix.
